The pivot side table is designed with the starting point ‘easy transport’.
By connecting the panels with hinges, they can pivot and so unfold into a side table, but the design can also be quickly folded back into a compact volume for transport.
Apart from that the used material is aluminium, light weight metal but strong.
The design is inspired by Niels’ visits to the MoMa and the TEFAF art fair in the Park Avenue Armory in New York City where he saw the work of artist Lygia Clark who also works a lot with geometric shapes and metal.
Just like the contradiction of the raw concrete and the smooth porcelain bathtub.
