The Pierre Residence

The iconic Pierre Hotel on the Upper East Side also houses several residential apartments. During my 2022 internship with Ryan Korban, this was the project where I had the most creative involvement. Ryan had already established a style with the client and selected furniture pieces in Paris, but he sought to visualize how everything would come together.

Given the curated nature of the interior, featuring several standout pieces, we created renders to capture the space and refine it through client feedback. In addition to collaborating intensively on the 3D visuals, Ryan frequently asked for my input on specific pieces and materials.

One of my personal contributions was the design of a window bench overlooking the Upper East Side and Central Park. Meanwhile, the travertine bench with views of Midtown Manhattan, a striking architectural block doubling as a housing unit for the heating system, was Ryan’s creation, embodying the "form follows function" philosophy.

When I left New York, the Pierre residence was still under construction, but I stayed updated on its progress, as the project held a special place in my heart. This Ryan Korban signature piece, enriched with French design and Western European aesthetics, stands as a true gem in the heart of New York City. .
